They are just mistaking his EAD card for PR card. My EAD was approved on April 27 and the status says
"Card production ordered/Oath Document sent".
It is just misleadig for a lot of people they can misread it as the PR card.

If i understood your post correctly, you have ported of an unapproved I140. I do understand this is for a "future job", but still you have used AC21.
I agree with your attorney to file, because, if you had worked for Company A and moved AFTER I140 approved and I485 pending for 180 days, you don't have to worry about their status. Since you have not yet worked for them, it safe severe your ties by filing AC21.

it�s merits. Then adjudicate the adjustment of status application to determine if the new position is the same or similar occupational classification for I-140 portability purposes.
B. If additional evidence is necessary to resolve a material post-filing
issue such as ability to pay, an RFE can be sent to try to resolve the
issue. When a response is received, and if the petition is approvable,
follow the procedures in part A above.

How many of you support this idea ?
Rally in DC in the morning and Fasting till 5PM in front of the capitol.
I will certainly support if I know the cause for this fasting & if I know more details on this rally?
btw: I can also support by dancing and singing all night long (of course it comes out naturally after I have 5-6 drinks....:D) just kidding..
when you get a chance give more details on the cause for this rally, date etc., and see how I can support.

My attorney received an email notice of I-140 approval (PP) on Mon, June 25. But the online case status showed the application as pending. Finally,today my attorney called and was told that due to "system glitch ", approval notices were sent out in error!! It seems this has done to others too!!

My lawyers asked me to use the OPT number on all my forms where it asked for A# number of FileNumber ... I did not have a A# number on my I140

It is good to carry all possible documents. However for extensions they just check the I-797 along with the DS-156 and 157. They did not ask any other document. Hope this helped. Regards - MP70.

I wonder when illegal can demonstrate, why can't we unite and organize some demonstartions to explain our frustrations and demands.
A lot of discussion happened on this topic in the past and the general consensus was that it will boomerang on us. We should not be demonstrating/protesting/demanding.

Recently(July 12th 2009) travelled from Hyd to JFK via Dubai on AP. No problems with the airlines. Had to clear the secondary inspection at JFK airport ala Shahrukh Khan...;)
Note, was using my AP for the 2nd time within an year travelling from India.

At POE they will ask you for an address for the PR card. Normally at land border they are strict and wont take a friends address etc. At airport they tend to be easier on you in accepting any address.
You dont need to do anything else. You may apply for a SIN number (Canada equivalent for an SSN) so that in the future if and when you do move there you can start working from day 1 because YOU WILL need SIN to work in Canada.
Many also start a bank account to show ties. You can do this depending on how much chance you think there is if you move there in the next 3 yrs before you loose your PR status.

No worries. I have travelled through Frankfort with AP and had no issues. In fact, an officer did ask me for my US visa and i showed him the AP document. Seems to me that frankfort officials do understand the AP document.
