I sent it using United States Postal Service (usps). I did use full zip code (75185-2401). I also used usps return receipt, which means somebody from USCIS has to sign this form.

Hello All,
One of my friends mentioned that there is a possibility that I-94 card could be stamped with the date on my current visa stamp at the port of entry. This would invalidate my wife's transfer since the new transferred visa is valid until 2009 whereas my stamping with my old employer is valid only until Dec 2007. In order to avoid this, should my wife submit her passport as well as the I-797 and I-539 from my current employer and ask the officer to stamp the new dates on the I-94? Please advise.

It would not invalidate the transfer, as legally there is no such thing as transfer it is always a new H1/4 what she loses is her extension period on I-94 and you will be forced to file an extension for her an unnecessary hassel. Usually if H1/4 travel together this problem rarely happens as the H4 spouse is automatically given same I-94 time as H1 per their new I-797. But some VO's surprise are still too new at their job to figure out the same for H4 travelling alone.

He is not supposed to give you the entire document. Please read the instructions carefully printed on the upper portion !!
Something does not sound right here. How can the employer "misplace" the upper portion of the approval notice? In the first place, why did he even separate the upper portion and the lower portion? He is supposed to give you the entire document as a single piece of paper.

Today when I looked the I-485 status I found the status changed to card production ordered. I'm traveling to India on 1st Dec (coming saturday). It is a business trip and I'm unable to postpone it. My attorney says If I travel now, they will consider the GC abandoned. Is this true?? I have an approve AP with me. I also planned to stamp my H1B visa in India. What a confusion!
Gurus please give your thoughts.

As far as I know, if you re-enter using AP, you should just be fine..I would not get the H1B stamp and enter on H1....

Hi,
My H1b visa stamp is of Company A with expiry date Dec 1, 2007.
I work for company B. I have gone back to India and came back with company B�s 1797 and company A�s visa stamp last year (October) without any issues. So we can come back on our previous H1 B visa stamp if we have a valid 797 with us at the port of entry.
My question is below.
Company B�s 797 is going to expire in Oct 24 2007 and I have to travel India during this time and will be entering USA again on November 11th 2007. I am soon going to apply for new 797 with 3 year extension with the same company (i.e B). Assuming I get the extension with 797 till Oct24 2010. Can I still enter USA(on Nov 11,2007) with the old H1B stamp pf company A (expiring on Dec 1,2007) and new 797 of company B(expiring on Oct 2010)
I am also going to talk to my lawyer regarding this. Just in case if someone has anything to share with me, I will appreciate it.

To my knowledge you could do it. However make sure you travel out after the approval of your new H1B. But you might not be given I-94 till the end of 2010, they sometimes give it only for extra 2 years ie till 2009. HOwever plz check with your attorney.

That is just plain impressive. I really didn't expect much improvement on this one. I just liked the way the sky changed colors at the rainbow. You can really see that now.

Gary, I think I did something similar. I couldn't tell if you masked it or not. In PS, I first selected all the sky with the magic wand, then expanded that selection 3 pixels, then put a 3 pixel feather on it, then inverted the selection so all the greenery was selected with a soft edge. I then put an adjustment layer bumping up the saturation. Finally, I filled the above selection with black on the adjustment layer's mask so the bump only applied to the sky. From there, it's a matter of taste for how much saturation is desired.

The reason I am doing paper based is that current immigration question. In efile you have to make a selection which apparently doesnt have the AOS option. On paper based we can put, Adjustment of Status (I-485 Pending).

With the A# they can pull up your record (which should in theory include all your applications)...

I was told that "amending" H1B is the same as applying for a new H1B. Does this mean that I will get a new 797 approval and I would have to get a new stamping on my passport? I just got my passport stamped with a 3 year extension till 2009. I don't want to go thru that again if I can avoid it.

what are your plans for I-485 filing? are you going to interfile your existing EB3 485 application with EB2 I140 or file a new 485 application for EB2? what is your lawyer recommending?
Our lawyer requested as a interfile while filing the new I-140. EB2 dates were current at the time of filing I-140 so that was possible. Otherwise we have to send in a copy of the new I-140 to join the I-485 when one's PD is current. I am waiting for copy of the I-140 to follow up on I-485 with SR and Infopass.
I am using the existing I-485 to avoid confusion and delay. That is what is being recommended by USCIS in many AILA meetings that I am aware of.
