Is there a dis-mounting process on the PC? Is it possible that your Mac thinks that the drive is still being accessed by the PC, and therefore refuses to let you access the files, because they are 'in use'?

are you 100% sure about this?? just asking cuz there are times where i wanna charge my phone but its like 5 min before i wanna go to bed and dont wanna charge it for 8 hours . and its always rumored that leaving your charger on overnight will hurt the battery. thats the last thing i wanna do on an iphone since the battery is non removable

Thanks I did actually fit the fan in the wrong direction.
Anyway it seems my problems go deeper as the log give me this message: "PMU FORCED SHUTDOWN, CAUSE = -122". I've been Googling and it seems it may be caused by a combination of pushing the power-supply too hard while having an uneven supply of power from the mains.
I'll try to get a cheap PMU as I've found suggestions this might help stuff. At the momen I've just disconected as many USB-perhipals as possible and this seems to have improved my up-times so far...

Hi Everyone:
I've come back to the mac world. I've been away ever since my apple G3 was stolen. Now, I bought an apple I3 IMac 27". Hummm, I still miss my G3. Anyways, let's get to the problem.
In these threads, everyone is having problems with their IMac's not sleeping in Windows 7. Well not me. For me, my IMac is not sleeping in OS X [10.6.7]. I thought there was a hardware issue. Just to make sure it was not, I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the OS. Then, it was fine for awhile until I started installing software. The last thing I installed was skype in OS. And now it does not go to sleep in OS. Why doesn't my IMac fall asleep on its own in OS X? Could it be boot camp? Or, could it be skype? And yes, I reset the PRAM and followed the directions on the apple web-site and I even called apple care but, to no avail. I should have bought a Windows machine!
Just kidding....
Can someone help me please? If it's a skype issue then, I understand. But, why on earth would skype prevent my IMac from sleeping even when it is closed. It just doesn't make any sense for the programmers to have skype conflict with OSX 10.6.7; they would have resolved these types of conflicts by now.

I've been trying to split them up, so there's not just a solid front page of "ween" or "kenny chesney" or "the dixie chicks" or whatever - trying to get kind-of a cross-section of music at a time. And the way I see it, you should suggest the best song or two off an album, and if you want the whole album suggested, do that in the comments section of the first track you recommend. That way it's like a lead-in for people who like similar music and want to know more about this particular band.

Well what will you use it for, what apps will you run? The ibook is not slow, the only time it will be slow is for running some pro apps such as FCP. Also you might want to consider the 12" ibook since the 14 and 12 inch have the same resolution.

a few things you can do other than getting a stabilizer or mount.
- use built in optical stabilizer (assuming one)
- practice "body as a tripod", keep camera close to body, turn body, not camera.
- use the grid display function (assuming one) as a static reference. it's easier to see shaky movement on a static line/grid vs. dynamic motion.
- adding any weight to the camera will help. This technically a stabilizer, but as an example you can add weight via the threaded 1/8" tripod mount, an 1/8" bolt and some washers.
- use a monopod. a lot of tripod functionality but you can run with it.

The way I read this article is: Apple is going for that little bit more,which cost a bit more also but they know that the potential clients are willing to afford it so why wouldn't they do it? Samsung can't afford the same move so they cry out loud saying their better...
