Well, I won't blame you guys for your decision if things do not work out. I know that it is very difficult to predict , I am going to go with EB2 06 .Just wanted to know what you would do if you were in my shoes.
If I am you I would go with EB3 I140 and once it gets approve get a copy
of approval and wait until Eb2 date crosses 2004 and find a desi consultant
file labour under Eb2 and file I140 port my PD to EB2 .After filing 485 you
can join desi company at that time.

This is very serious matter. EB community should strongly oppose

I doubt if the above three even know what the whole deal on these 90K visas is. where they come from, what are at stakes, who lost them, why they lost them etc things. I agree with you that we need to call these and let them know that these belong to EB, hence recapture them for EB and request them to allocate special 50K/90K to Schedule A

I am extremely happy that i am in EB2 :D . I filled one PERM in Mar 06 that was in EB2 and i also filed one in JUN 07 that was also in EB2 and now one more in EB2. :D :D :D (moral of the story, EB2 or EB3 or EB1 doesn't matter, what matters is destiny, if you are destined to get GC you will get it else no matter how much you apply you will always be in Queue)

Just in-case one gets layed-off and has an EAD, can that person buy a 7-Eleven or a Gas Station?
Can the EAD holder actually run the gas station/7-eleven by working/being present there? (Maybe he/she can work there and take all the profit but no salary).
What happens if there is an RFE asking for proof of employment during this period?
Can you not think anything other than a gas station or seven eeleven ? Come on guys think out side the box. I don't have a great idea to suggest you to begin with but I know gas station and grocery stores are very typical desi ideas

The best realtor is the one who can give you some money back from his commission...:)
Dont rely on the realtor to determine the home price for you. DO some homework...compare homes in the vicinity and come up with a price thats reasonable and mos importantly AFFORDABLE to you.

Hey everyone,
I am from Florida and just filed my I-485. I went to the DMV yesterday to renew my drivers license and something unexpected happened. They took away my old license and gave a temporary one valid for 30 days. They also said they will have to verify my immigration status and once this is done they will mail my new drivers license. Has anyone had such an experience? How long did it take to get your new license?

Before Jan 02 we got it over the counter. I've had to change the license several times due to either H1B expiring or address changes. Remember to carry your passport (or some other photo ID) with you all the time.

For my final H1B extension, I used Chugh law firm and my employer did premium processing with them. Got my 3 yr extn in 2 days!!! Not sure if its the law firm or just my case.But they were prompt in paperwork and my interaction with them was only twice. Just honor their checklist and u r done.
However, for GC, I used Mr. Michael Khosla's (The Law Offices of P. Michael Khosla & Associates, P.C. www.usimmigration.net (http://www.usimmigration.net)) services. Reasonable fee and awesome service. Never had any issues and got my GC in 2010

I too have got I140 Approved already in Sept 05.
My concept was that once I140 is approved you are free. Employer cannot do anything.
After 140 approval can employer do anything to jeopardize the GC Process.
Anyway
2005 140 is approved.
2007 I left employer to work in non US Location. ( No US Income )

If laws change to force shutdown of all H1b contracting , then I have NO Choice but roll over to a FT job invoking AC21.

Can you please update on what your lawyer advised to do? I had a misdemeanor (non traffic) charge in 01, that was dismissed as Nolle Prosequi (lack of evidence). I totally forgot about the incident and filed for 485 (self mailed on 6/30) Jul 2nd with out choosing YES. I got the disposition charges from the county court today and I need to update my case before I have further issues. I was NOT finger printed. NO Fines, NO community service, NO Probation and a normal criminal history record check at the county shows NONE. I never had issues with H1B stamping and traveling in and out of US. My labor is not substituted. My 140 is already approved
Can you please send me a PM with what forms your law firm is filing with USCIS? Are they planning to file a motion to reconsider by any chance? (or) Are you just filling another 485 form as an amendment? I don't have my receipts yet. If you can share your law firm info as well in a PM, it would be great.

I am not saying that I will not send one in my case, but I would like to know the correct way to send documentation so that I can send the disposition as soon as I get receipts. I am also looking for an attorney and will not be doing this myself. I am just getting info as much as I can here. I am also filing for expungement as soon as I talk with an Immi attorney.

As far as I know:
if your E3 (approved) priority date is current for E2 (approved), you can file 485 (in E2) requesting to use the earliest (E3) priority date. From my understanding, you may be able to do it even when your E2 is pending - but it may be better to wait till you get the E2 approved. Hope it clarifies your question.
