Recently, I made my own PP photos using http://www.epassportphoto.com/
This is a great service - It creates a jpeg file from a picture that you upload, and you can choose the "free" option in which you can save the jpeg file with 4-6 pictures in one frame (A 4" x 6" photo can yield 6 pp photos of 2" x 2"), and take it to Walgreens/Costco/Kinkos for a printout for $0.25 each. Otherwise you pay about $8-$12 for 2 photos at the same stores!!
For a family of 4, this equates to savings of ~ $40!!!
The site has all the tools for meeting various types of visa/pp/etc photo requirements for various countries.

Can someone please clarify with AC21 can I take up a job Position as "IT PROJECT MANAGER 11-3021.00" whereas my EB3 Labor is filed as "Computer Programmers - 15-1021.00" ?
My I-485 is still pending past 180 days and I-140 is approved.

Ok, let me put it this way.
Is the any advantage (or not), filing 140 1st, and lets say your PD is already current, file AOS later. I.E. file them Separately, not in the same packet.
So in this scenario, is the any difference vs. filing concurrently or not?

2. when u start new employment u fill out an I-9 form and will provide your ead at that time. It basically means you are using your ead for employment, which will automatically invalidate your h1b visa. so i don't think you can do the transfer at a later time.

Did you get any receipt # in the mail or from your lawyer before calling them to ask for the checks to be cashed?
Because they are refusing to enter a "service request" for my case unless I provide them with a receipt # (Which I didn't get, that's the reason I am calling. This is like a closed loop. I am calling because I didn't get anything receipt yet, they tell me I cannot do anything if I don't give them a receipt #, it's funny, isn't it?). They don't accept my tracking number from USPS express mail as a proof of receipt.

Last year in March end I had an opportunity to go for business trip to Frankfurt, it was technical conference of my company. Just 5 days before the due date, my H1 was to expire. Thanks to this moron in my HR, the whole H1 renenwal was delayed to just 2 weeks before expiry. We paid extra to expedite the H1 renewal, fixed Visa stamping/interview apointment at Ottawa, ON same week as we applied for visa renewal. In-fact I had apointments paid for two consecutive days(friday and monday), just in-case the documents do not arrive on time. And they didn't ( aka Murphy Law) till saturday. So headed out on Sunday to Ottawa from MI. arrived Monday morning, got the visa extended next day. Arrived back in office on Wednesday morning, sent all the documents to Chicago consulate office, with same day delivery. Anxiously awaited to hear-back till Tursday afternoon. Started frantically calling consulate office on Friday Morning. Believe it or not someone did returnback my repeated calls and complained about why I was calling everyone in office and in future try to send application atleast 1-2 weeks before travel. My flight was booked for Saturday 3:00 pm in afternoon and believe it or not I collected my passport with visa at noon!!!:rolleyes:
P.S: Trip was great and in-fact also got chance to visit Paris!!!:cool:

CLEVELAND � A U.S. immigration court has granted asylum to President Barack Obama's African aunt, allowing her to stay in the country, her attorneys announced Monday.
The decision was mailed Friday and comes three months after Kenya native Zeituni Onyango, the half-sister of Obama's late father, testified at a closed hearing in Boston, where she arrived in a wheelchair and two doctors testified in support of her case.
Onyango plans to apply for a work visa and can apply for a green card after she gets it, her attorneys said.
The basis for her asylum request was never made public. People who seek asylum must show that they face persecution in their homeland on the basis of religion, race, nationality, political opinion or membership in a social group.
"The asylum process is confidential and she wants to keep it that way, so we can't get into details on why the judge granted asylum or the exact basis for her claim," said her attorney Scott Bratton. He added: "She doesn't want people to feel sorry for her."
Another lawyer, Margaret Wong of Cleveland, said last year that Onyango first applied for asylum "due to violence in Kenya." The East African nation is fractured by cycles of electoral violence every five years.
Medical issues also could have played a role. In a November interview with The Associated Press, Onyango said she was disabled and was learning to walk again after being paralyzed from Guillain-Barre syndrome, an autoimmune disorder.
Onyango moved to the United States in 2000. Her first asylum request was rejected, and she was ordered deported in 2004. But she didn't leave the country and continued to live in public housing in Boston.
Onyango's status as an illegal immigrant was revealed just days before Obama was elected in November 2008. Obama said he did not know his aunt was living here illegally and believes laws covering the situation should be followed.
A judge later agreed to suspend her deportation order and reopen her asylum case.
Wong has said that Obama wasn't involved in the Boston hearing. Obama spokesman Nick Shapiro said Monday that the White House had no involvement in the case at any point in the process.
In his memoir, "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance," Obama affectionately referred to Onyango as "Auntie Zeituni" and described meeting her during his 1988 trip to Kenya.
Onyango helped care for the president's half brothers and sister while living with Barack Obama Sr. in Kenya.

3 years visa. It is not a startup company but not very big company. She is not into software.

When you apply for H1 transfer..they transfer the current H1.
If you have more than 6 months on ur H1 you cannot apply for extension..
when you file for transfer.
So better option would be:
a.) Transfer H1...and then file for extension.
b.) Or file for extension and then change jobs...
if you havent filed for 485.. then you have to restart the GC..and recapture your PD.... i used the option B.
