I have filed on July 2nd itself and still no receipt, no FP notice, nothing. Called USCIS 3 times and they asked me to wait until it's been 3 months after the filing. Then only they will do something it seems.
BTW, how can I get to 2 Level representative?
I have filed on August 10th and I do not have a receipt either. I guess we need to be patient. I have checked even people with July 19th are waiting.

My wife entered to US with L2 dependent Visa and got SSN# with L2-EAD.Meanwhile we both applied and got H1 by employer A which is valid from OCT 06-SEP 09. Although she has enough experience but her medical condition she never worked and neither has pay-stub/W2. Then both of us never travelled out of US. Meanwhile she went India SEP 08 and stayed 5 months. When I went for vacation I got my H1 stamping and she got H4 stamping at the same time and we are in US. Now she got an offer from employer B and he is willing to do COS H4-H1for her. We checked with Employer A and they haven't revoked her H1b till now.
Our questions are
1) Since she doesn't have any paystub/w2, is it possible to do COS?
2) If #1 is okay what are DOCs she or me (if applicable) has to provide.
3) How long does it take to complete the COS if done by PP.
4) How much risk does this case carry/what are the issues she could face?
Really appreciated your valuable answers

I dont know exactly what is the issue here, but I have filed for EAD extentions 3 times in last three years and it was a very straight forward and easy process. We filed the extentions about 2 months before the expiration and got EADs and APs done in about a month.
The USCIS website says one need to file 6 months in advance for EAD. It may come out to be true now based on the flood of applications received after July 1st this year. I filed for EAD extentions 3 times in last three years and last 2 times I got in less than a month, this year it took close to 3 months. So always apply 6 months in advance as advised in website

Next year in July when we will become current, it will again become a game of probability. Because of the 2 specific issues I mentioned, we will have a slightly lower probability of our cases getting picked up. So, I am trying to be pro-active to address these specific issues. The issues definitely need to be fixed as these are glaring glitches in the USCIS file transfer system. I am thinking that we can draft a letter and all affected people can write to Ombudsman. Let me know what everybody thinks

If the PD is not current, why dont USCIS process the existing applications and keep it processed. This will reduce their work when the PD becomes current.
I do not see the logic why should not they process the pending applications when the PD is not current. Eventually they are going to get benefited from processing the applications.
WIth some concurrent filings, atleast if they process the applications the beneficiary would be entitled to get EAD.

Well.I did not have to request for confirmation. My attorney received the letter the next day after I received the automated email. The online status for my case still shows as "Denial Notice Sent".:(

Is there anything like this, if yes can you throw some light on it.
As far as I know for any L1 to become H1 needs to apply in the new H1 quota.
L1A is for managers and you actually have to work atleast one year outside the US to apply for a GC (L1A - GC)
L1B is most commonly used (abused). There is no minimum required pay and has no cap. Moving from L1B to H1b is a nightmare.

Greenever i totally support that view. I am all for trying to contact the ministry incharge. All i meant is, if it does not work out, we shudnt start throwing insults at the Government. We pay ZERO taxes in India and technically do Nothing worth writing home about for our country or it's government.
U know it is interesting that we bring up Indians and the Indian Government debate. The Government did what it could to further the economy. Then we had Scams in BPO offices (Citibank etc). The Question now is, who is the bigger problem, the Indian Govenrment or the Indian? Another example: People litter the streets and expect the Govt to pick up after them. A simple example here. On my recent visit to India, at the bombay airport, in the immigration queue, i saw an Indian guy just dump a soiled plastic bag in a perfectly clean area, while standing in the Queue! Just left it there, as though it was a dumping ground. Try doing that on ANY airport here! Forget the police, one of the citizens here will ask u to pick up ur trash.

Hard to tell from this (reduced) image, but the goose is not on one of the focus points so I suspect the camera selected the ducks in the background. The depth of field for your conditions is around 8 feet so you can see it's easy for much of the image (and the goose in particular) to be out of focus.

We got "Approval Notice Sent" emails 6 days back. I received my EAD 3 days back but haven't received my wife's yet.
Has anyone filed for Replacement EAD? Do we need to wait 30 days from the date we received the approval email? How long does it take usually to receive a Replacement card?
Please share your experiences.

"Card production ordered" is the first status that you will see and then it will change to "Approval notice sent". Tentatively, Your card will be postmarked with the date when your status changed to "Approval notice sent" and it takes upto 4 calendar days to receive the card through mail. Usually, approval notice goes to attorney on file for 765, if you have filed G28 otherwise you will receive it. Call USCIS and find out whether the card is ordered then ask for follow-up actions and decide whether to file for replacement card. There is no separate form for replacement cards - you will still be using same 765 form; I guess, same processing time applies - you may expedite by taking infopass after receiving the receipt notice for your replacement card by providing the letter from the employer. I am a physician MD currently doing IM residency on H1B. i have a job to start from oct 2007. since PDS for india are now current, i would like to know if my employer can file PERM for a prospective employee now in june. my univerdity lawyer is not clear or rather not willing to file.
