as I understand the process, I fyou apply and get the green card approval before marriage, you cannot bring your wife over here as it will become family based immigration.
The ideal thing is to do it while still on h1 and then do the 485 application.
Since you are from rest of the world ? the rules and dates will be different for you. not sure how though ? sorry !

Thanks, but will there be any charges against me for not filing the taxes before.

1.If we owe money to State/Fed then it may be a problem
2.No problem if we are supposed to get money from State/Fed

nothing to worry about, it happened to me too,
I opened an SR and two weeks later my wife got FP and I didn't, I thought I'll wait for a week or two but in vain. When I gave a follow-up call I came to know that FP was scheduled at my Attorney's place (I live in west coast and I was scheduled to attend FP at ASC in East coast) and the twist is my attorney never received it.on top of it when I asked the Rep about possibility of scheduling an FP at my place she advised me to file AR-11 form, at this point it was very clear to me that Rep doesn't have a clue on what she is talking about. the very next day I was luck to get hold of nice rep who said I quote
" I don't understand why these people schedule FP at attorney�s location"
he apologized and said he will open an SR to reschedule at my location and he assured me that this time it will be at my location, which I got in couple of weeks.
Hope you will get your FP notice soon.

I think it is in the best interest of ImmigrationVoice and its members that offensive and derogatory messages be deleted/banned as they serve to harm the group as a whole.
However, the statement quoted below, if used out of context, will serve to be just as detrimental to ImmigrationVoice and its members because Free speech is the hallmark of this great country.
I would recommend that this statement be rephrased to say that while ImmigrationVoice champions the free speech, it is in the best interest of its members that the offensive posts be censored :
Immigration Voice neither promises nor practices "Free speech" and "First amendment rights"

hi i have a question here:
suppose some x's labour PD date is 2004 August and some Y's PD date is 2006.
Y Applied I-485 on July2nd 2007 and X applied on Aug10th 2007.
so whose application processed first? is x's or Y's for final GC process.

I mean is that possible - what's this Free EAd/ap deal ?
dont forget july 4th is a holiday..so when they come back on the 5th they will have applications touching the roof.
but from what i am hearing a lot of people are waiting for august bulletin and will apply on july 31st with the higher fees to avail the free ead/ap.

Has anybody in this group(i.e. whose I-140 was transferred to TSC from NSC recently) seen any movements in their case? I am in the same boat, I-140 filed May'07 at NSC and moved to TSC in Apr'08. I saw one more related thread but haven't seen any approvals recently.
